Elena Rybakina become the first tennis player from Kazakhstan to win a Grand Slam Singles Championship. Elena Rybakina has won the women’s tittle at Wimbledon by beating Ons Jabeur 3-6, 6-2, 6-2. She is the first player whi represents kazakhstan and win Grand Slam Singles tittle on Saturday, 9 July 2022.
Rybakina was born in Moscow and she is now 23 year old. She is the youngest woman to win a Wimbledon tittle since a 21 year old Petra Kvitova in 2011. Rybakina who has represented kazakhstan for the last four years, finally fought and defeat Ons Jabeur by 3-6, 6-2, 6-2. Rybakina ranked a nodest 23 in the world, had never got beyond the last night at a slam before this Wimbledon.
Rybakina says, “I am speechless,” She says Ohh, “The crowd were unbelievable and I want to congratulate Ons, you are an inspiration. It was a joy to play against you. “It is an honour to play here in this unbelievable atmosphere. I didn’t expect to be in second week. To be a winner is just amazing. I would not be here without my team ofcourse, so I want to say a big thanks to them. And most importantly to my parents.”
“I was super nervous before the match, during the match and I am happy that it’s finished now to be honest.”
The world number two said, “First of all I want to congratulate Elena and her team, great job and she deserved this and hopefully next time it will be mine.”
